The fortress area is open all days all year.
Entrance fee
The entrance to the fortress area is free. Museums, events, restaurants and concerts may have other opening hours and fees.
Ferry
See departures from Drøbak, Oscarsborg and Bergholmen. Go to entur.org for digital ferry timetables. The ferry between Drøbak and Oscarsborg fortress runs all year. It is a short five minutes tour from our main dock, Sundbrygga in Drøbak. The timetables show departure times from Oscarsborg, Sundbrygga and Bergholmen.

By car
You can drive to Drøbak. There are parking possibilities in the centre of Drøbak, and a taxed parking space at Huskvik, about 400 meters from our main dock, Sundbrygga. There are two handicap spaces at Sundbrygga. Unfortunately, there is no charging option for an electric car in the parking lot. See charging stations.no for info on charging stations nearby. Safety and availability
Oscarsborg is a fortress with high walls. Some walls are unsecured. Be careful along the fortress walls and watch the children. There is varied terrain with gravel roads, paved roads and stairs. Most places are wheelchair accessible, stroller and the like.
Wheelchair
It is wheelchair accessibility on the ferry. It is wheelchair accessibility on the ferry. It can be hard to get large electric wheelchairs on board on windy days. However, this happens rarely. At the Fortress Museum and in the restaurants, they have facilities for the wheelchairs to be brought in. You will also find custom toilets in these locations.

Waste
Throw waste in the litter bins and recycle if possible.
Bring the dog
All dogs must be leashed at all times.
Barbeque
Barbeque and open fire are prohibited.
Drone Flying
It is forbidden to fly drone on and over the fortress area.
Alcohol brought along
It is not allowed to drink alcohol you have brought with you.
Accommodation
There are several accommodation options at Oscarsborg. Outdoor camping is not allowed.
